Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, walnuts (if using), vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon (if using). Stir until just combined, but do not overmix; the batter should be crumbly.
