A delicious and effortless Crock Pot Lasagna that layers ground beef, cheese, and lasagna noodles for a hearty meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 26 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup water
- 15 ounce container small curd cottage cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 8–10 uncooked lasagna noodles
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
- ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- brown and crumble ground beef and onion in a skillet or crock pot with sauté setting.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Drain excess grease, return beef to skillet, pour in spaghetti sauce and water, and stir.
- In a separate bowl, mix cottage cheese, 1 ½ cups mozzarella, parmesan, egg, and parsley.
- Spray a 5-quart or larger crock pot with non-stick spray, then scoop in 1 cup of meat sauce.
- Layer uncooked lasagna noodles on top of meat sauce.
- Add a layer of cottage cheese mixture.
- Continue layering (meat sauce, noodles, cottage cheese) reserving some meat sauce to top.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-5 hours until noodles are soft and liquid is absorbed.
- Add shredded mozzarella and parmesan on top, sprinkle parsley, then cover for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time based on the desired noodle softness.
- Consider using a larger spaghetti sauce jar if necessary.
