Description
These Maple Glazed Bacon Chicken Bites are a perfect combination of savory and sweet, wrapped in crispy bacon and glazed with a delicious maple sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 10–12 slices of bacon, cut in half
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lime juice
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Wrap each piece of chicken with a half-slice of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and lime juice.
- Arrange the bacon-wrapped chicken bites on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the maple glaze. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, flip each chicken bite, and brush with additional glaze. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve warm, optionally with dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or onion powder to the seasoning.
- These bites can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven.
- Adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less maple syrup as desired.
