Description

A delicious and indulgent lasagna combining flavors of Parmesan, garlic, and bacon with a cheeseburger twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) ricotta cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft.
  3. Stir in the crumbled bacon, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  8. Spread a thin layer of the Parmesan garlic sauce at the bottom of the dish.
  9. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Top with a third of the meat mixture, a drizzle of Parmesan garlic sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  10. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a generous layer of cheese on top.
  11. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  12. Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the meat layer.
  • This dish can be assembled the day before and baked just before serving.
