Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract and food coloring.
  4. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them two inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  6. Allow cookies to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
