Shrimp Crab Lasagna

Description

A rich and creamy lasagna made with shrimp and crab that brings the taste of the sea to your dinner table.


Ingredients

  • 12 sheets of lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled with veins removed
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups of Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 parsley sprigs, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumb topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil the lasagna noodles using the package directions, then drain and let them cool.
  2. In a large pan, warm olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about a minute. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes. Add crab, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes; cook for 2-3 minutes more and remove from heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, half the Parmesan, 1 cup of mozzarella, parsley, and heavy cream. Stir until smooth.
  4. Spread some Alfredo sauce in a 9×13 pan. Layer noodles, then a portion of the cheese mixture, seafood, and drizzle with more sauce. Repeat for three layers, finishing with noodles and Alfredo sauce on top.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and breadcrumbs. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
  6. Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Optionally, garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Feel free to use any additional seafood if desired.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer chili flakes.
  • Serves well with a side salad and garlic bread.
