A delicious and tangy Sweet Chili Pineapple Sauce that adds a burst of flavor to your dishes.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh pineapple, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water (for cornstarch slurry)
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the chopped pineapple, 1/2 cup water, vinegar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes until the pineapple softens.
- Mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to make a slurry. Stir into the simmering sauce.
- Add chili flakes and salt, and continue simmering for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
Notes
- Adjust the level of red chili flakes based on your spice preference.
- This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
