- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (for thickening the sauce)
- 2 tablespoons water
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients – Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Make the Sauce – In a bowl, mix honey (or brown sugar), soy sauce, olive oil, vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
- Add to Crockpot – Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it, ensuring even coverage.
- Cook – Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until tender.
- Thicken the Sauce (Optional) – Remove the chicken. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce. Cook on high for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
- Serve – Return the chicken to the crockpot, coat it in the sauce, garnish with parsley, and enjoy over rice or vegetables.
Notes
- Chicken breasts can be used instead of thighs if preferred.
